Start with the work, not the model
Trade work moves between open-ended research, customer communication, technical material, websites and repeatable operations. A single tool can touch all of them, but that does not mean it should own the whole chain.
The first useful distinction is whether a task needs exploration, repository changes, document processing, structured communication or independent verification.
Give each handoff an artifact
A research pass should end in a source-backed brief. A coding pass should end in a reviewable diff and test result. A document pass should leave an inventory or classification record. That artifact gives the next tool—and the human reviewer—a stable point of reference.
Without an artifact, several assistants can repeat the same exploration while assuming the others preserved context.
Keep high-risk decisions human
Customer-sensitive communication, technical claims, pricing decisions and access permissions need explicit human ownership. AI can prepare the decision surface; it should not hide the decision.
The workflow is still experimental. Failed prompts, missing context and inconsistent outputs are operating data, not embarrassing exceptions to erase.
